Dear clergy and supporters of Camps & Conferences in the Diocese of West Texas,
It is almost that time again… time for the annual Bishop’s Golf Classic! And for the 11th tournament, we want to line up the shot and swing towards sponsorship goals honoring Bishop Lillibridge and his service to our diocese at this, his final Golf Classic as Diocesan Bishop.
The tournament will take place Nov 4, 2016 at Canyon Springs Golf Club. Check-In starts at 10:30 am, followed by Shotgun Start at noon, and Awards Dinner at 5:00 PM. Individual registration costs $150, and there are several sponsorship level options as well as options for non-golfers to donate. All tournament proceeds go to the diocesan scholarship fund for children’s camps and youth events, helping send youth to our diocese’s exemplary summer camp programs. Individuals and teams can register online (2016 Bishop’s Golf Classic Registration and www.dwtx.org/events) or by filling out the attached form and mailing it to the diocese. Make sure to select which church you are representing and the names of your other team mates.
We hope that those who have supported this event in the past will do so again. We hope that those who haven’t will participate this year, with new folks joining in the fun! And we truly hope that the level of participation and donations to our Camps Scholarships Fund will reflect our appreciation of Bishop Lillibridge’s service to the Diocese of West Texas.
