For many weeks now, you have seen an announcement before our services, saying, “Let Community of Hope be of service” and, “trained lay chaplains are available.” Perhaps you have asked yourself, what is Community of Hope, what service does it offer, who are these trained lay chaplains, and what, exactly, do they do? On Sunday, June 6th, all of your questions will be answered. During the service, Pam Piedfort, facilitator of our local St. George “Center” of Community of Hope International (CoHI), and Andy Nodine, assistant facilitator, will give a presentation on Community of Hope. Pam will talk about how we apply the Benedictine Rule of Life on which CoHI is based, and Andy will explain the mission of CoHI, the ministry of the lay chaplains, and the opportunity for any who are called, to become lay chaplains. We look forward to talking with you!
