First Communion Class

We are very excited to announce that we will be holding First Communion classes beginning February 21st during the 10:45am worship service! Any child in the 1st-5th grades are invited to attend this 6 week class series! The curriculum we will be using is modeled on the Eucharist format: We Gather (Lesson 1), We Hear the Word of God (Lesson 2), We Respond to the Word (Lesson 3), We Offer our Gifts (Lesson 4), We Celebrate (Lesson 5) and We are Sent Out (Lesson 6). Because children learn with all their senses, activities and instruction will be included that engage them throughout each lesson.

The classes will be led by Happy Wilson in Ms. Partin’s room (Middle School building next door to the Sacred Studies room) during the 10:45am worship service beginning on February 21st and conclude on April 24th with the First Communion taking place on Sunday, May 1st. The only exception to this is on April 17 in which Fr. Ram will be teaching the class after the 10:45am worship service.

February 21: We Gather
February 28: We Hear the Word of God
March 6: We Respond to the Word
March 20: We Offer our Gifts
April 17 (class will be held after 10:45 service): We Celebrate
April 24: We are Sent Out
May 1st: First Communion
