Blessing of the Animals

St. George celebrates the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi on Friday, October 2nd. On this day, students and parishioners may bring live or stuffed animals to campus for a blessing from the clergy present. While live animals must be restrained or remain in cages and go home immediately after the celebration, a stuffed animal may spend the day at school.
