It is a joyful moment when a couple announces their upcoming marriage. From that moment grows a list of planning items that can be overwhelming. Often a couple does not realize how to find out if their marriage can be solemnized in a Church. We hope this page helps you discover whether or not St. George is a community from which you receive God’s blessing to begin your new life together.
If you are interested in learning more about marriage at St. George please email the office at Once we receive your information we will contact you to schedule an appointment. To be married by one of the clergy at St. George a couple will have to meet the requirements stated in the Book of Common Prayer, be active in the St. George community, attend pre-arranged Marriage Preparation sessions at the Ecumenical Center for Religion and Health (click here for more information), and meet all other Church, Diocesan, state and local requirements. We take marriage seriously at St. George because we believe it is a lifelong covenant.
