Adult Christian Education

Sunday School  meets 9:40 – 10:20 a.m.; all adults welcome

The Living Word meets in Church Library
Leaders: Tad Keener, Steve Alwais. Watch a video presentation by Dr. Bruce Wilkenson about part of each of the first five books of the Old Testament and then participate in a discussion. Makes the Old Testament come alive!

Coffee and Conversation meets in Church Conference Room
Take a rewarding journey into spiritual transformation utilizing John Ortberg’s book The Life You’ve Always Wanted. Read this book, utilizing its study guide with scriptural connections and join in lively discussions every week to be spiritually fed and inspired to live the life God has planned for you.

Parent Connection meets in the Parish Hall
If you are a parent of children from infant to school-age, you are invited to attend a special study of Luke’s Gospel led by Fr. Ram Lopez.  “Through a Parent’s Eyes'” is designed to look at Scripture with the special intention of gleaning God’s Wisdom in raising our children to know and to love God and his ways.

Youth and Family Ministries

Episcopal Young Churchmen (JR & SR EYC) – Enjoy youth fellowship, Bible study and outreach with our EYC. JR EYC (grades 6-8) meets Sundays at 5 in the Willmann House, followed by EYC dinner at 6 (for all EYCers, parents & friends). SR EYC (grades 9-12) meets following dinner, 6:30-ish. Vacation Bible School (VBS) – We gather every July for a week of fun-filled learning about God. VBS meets the second full week in July, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. 'til noon. Pastoral Care Ministries

Flower Ministers – Individuals or couples who deliver altar flowers to shut-ins or hospitalized parishioners after Sunday services.

Meals In Need – Volunteers who cook and deliver meals to parishioners when the family situation makes food preparation difficult.

The Willmann Trust – A trust left to St. George by Clara Willmann in 1985 that provides for pastoral care and outreach.

Transportation – Drive parishioners to church, doctor appointments, and grocery shopping.

Parish Outreach Ministries

Bargain Boutique – This resale shop operation located at 6477 Blanco is run entirely by volunteers and contributes heavily to St. George’s outreach projects. - Alice Taulli (210-344-8774), Store (210-342-1801)

Blood Drive – St. George holds three blood drives annually to allow parishioners to donate blood. - Pat and Steve Lindemood at lindemood@sbcglobal.net or (210) 492-4963.
